No More Starving Artists

What you are taught, from an early age, becomes habit and second nature. If you are like most artists, you were told that being an artist would bring you poverty and hard times. Later in life, you were most likely labeled as a "Starving Artist".

Realize, what you think, over and over, is what comes to be. Thoughts are things. They reverberate in your mind and outside of your body, and they cause you to perform the actions that match those thoughts. Unfortunately, for those who dream big, those who strive to develop talents, many are shot down by key figures (family and friends) in their lives, and by those in the media and even strangers. They are made to believe, from a very young age, that even if they are talented, they will be poor. And because of this, they should be planning for a "real" job. They hear this randomly for many years until it has become an undeniable truth to them.

Rightly so, what you firmly believe, you truly live out. What you see in your mind's eye, and what you believe about yourself, in every cell of your body, is what you are going to Will to happen. Some people Will success to happen, and others Will themselves to fail. Tell a person he or she is useless or unworthy, a few times a week for many years, and they will develop this attitude and live timidly in the background, while others acquire achievement after achievement.

It is no different for those artists and musicians were told, over and over, that they would be "Starving Artists".

It is time for us all to ditch the term "Starving Artist". You can have the life you dream about. It is about adopting a new set of thoughts, and seeing the path ahead as something where failure is not an option.

There are no limits. It first starts with the delimitting of your mind. Once a new set of thoughts is inserted into your mind, you can go from there. A new path can be accepted. A new dream can be had.

By being completely aware, and switching your thoughts to something positive and fulfilling, a new path is created. All you have to do is walk it. Dream big, for failure is not an option. And the label "Starving Artist" is only a label that exists outside of you. It is not you. Life will open up in myriad ways, once you realize the grandness of you.
